-Upon move in we undertake a full inventory of the property whereby you, the tenant agree the condition and description of all fixtures, fittings and furniture. We also record the utility readings to ensure your responsibility is correctly recorded.
Your deposit is safe. We are members of mydeposits.co.uk. You will be provided with a certificate showing the registration of you deposit which will be kept in a safe, fully protected clients account.
All rent paid by tenants is protected based upon our membership to various regulatory bodies. This gives the tenant peace of mind.
A letting agent will have the contact details of all landlords using the agents services. This allows the tenant(s) the benefit of recourse against the landlord if there are any issues or unresolved problems.
It is important that if you are a tenant thinking of renting a property through Direct Let that you check if the property is a ‘let only’ or ‘fully managed’. If a ‘let only’ we are not responsible for maintenance, safety of the property, deposit registration or the landlord fulfilling his contracted obligations. In all cases it is important that you seek professional legal advice before signing or committing to a tenancy.
